REPORT | GU15 | Spain 4-0 Ireland

The Ireland Girls' Under-15s suffered a 4-0 defeat to Spain in their second outing in the 2025 UEFA Development Tournament in Alicante.

After narrowly losing 2-1 to Poland in their opening game, Ireland made three changes to their starting line-up with midfielder Fiadh Woods missing out through injury.

Similar to their first game, Ireland showed plenty of fight and flashes of technical excellence but they had to contend with a quality Spanish side who went ahead inside the first minute.

The Irish team kept on trying to play their game but Spain showcased their attacking dominance by scoring three more in the first half to seize a commanding lead that they did not let slip.

The Girls in Green will finish out the tournament with a game against Norway on Sunday, November 16th.

Ireland: Caoimhe Keating (Megan McGinley 60); Pixie Keddy (Kym McNulty 46), Katie Brogan (Hattie Farrell 60), Emma Fitzpatrick, Norah Pustay (Grace Geary 60); Maia Stokes, Mairéad Mullins (Faith Dawson 46), Daisy Fleming; Maisy Healy (Ellie Byrne 60), Mia Whelan (Saoirse Reynolds 46), Ava Hand (Ava Gallagher 46).
