REPORT | BU15 | Devereux & Quinn score in draw against Northern Ireland

Republic of Ireland U15s secured a 2-2 draw against Northern Ireland U15s in an international friendly at FAI National Training Centre.

It was a brilliant opportunity to continue to give the young players minutes in a green shirt as U15 Head Coach Jason Donohue looked to use the vast majority of players at his disposal with Maxim Afonin named as captain.

Ireland U15s had an impressive result against Hungary U15s last time out with a 2-1 victory and were looking to build on the positives against our near neighbours on Saturday.

It was two second-half goals which helped secure the draw as Archie Quinn hit the net in the 58th minute before Blake Lynch Devereux who started, came off and then came back on again in the 80th minute, netted just four minutes later to complete the scoring.

Republic of Ireland U15s: Charlie McGarvey (GK) (Alex Byrne 46), Jayden Marshall, Ben Nicholls (Kimson Kibaga 46), Maxim Afonin (C), Bobby Zeller (Johnny Collins 44), Josh O'Dwyer (Blake Lynch Devereux 80), Jonathan Echefu (Ciaran Daly 46), Archie Quinn, Blake Lynch Devereux (Charlie Nolan 46), Daniel O'Halloran (Corey Fay 40), Ethan Kelly (Luke Malone Byrne 46).

Northern Ireland U15s: Phoenix Blayney (GK), Bailey Magee, Daniel McCarron, Conor Wilson, Mason Ayre, Odhran McHugh, Liam Kelly (C), Jude Crawford, Alfie Mulvenna, Ciaran Murray, Rocco Devlin.
