MU17 | Squad named for EURO qualifiers in Poland

Republic of Ireland Men’s Under-17s will bid for a place at the U17 European Championships and the U17 FIFA World Cup when they head to Poland next week.

The young Boys in Green are in Group A7 with hosts Poland, Slovakia and Croatia. The group winners will earn a spot at this summer’s Under-17 EUROs in Estonia as well as a place at the World Cup in Qatar.

Ireland are boosted with the return of Shamrock Rovers’ Victor Ozhianvuna, who alongside Sean Spaight of Dundalk and George Moloney of Southampton, were part of the squad that featured at the U17 World Cup in Spain.

Republic of Ireland Men’s Under-17s Squad

Goalkeepers: Darragh Brunton (St. Patrick’s Athletic), George Moloney (Southampton).

Defenders: Maxim Afonin (Shamrock Rovers), Danny Burke (Shamrock Rovers), Glenn Ilunga (Burnley), Tadgh Prizeman (Shamrock Rovers), Sean Spaight (Dundalk).
