MU16 | Osam selects squad of 21 for Slovakia tournament

Republic of Ireland Men’s Under-16s will head to Slovakia next week for a UEFA Development Tournament.

The competition will conclude this year’s MU16s season, with Head Coach Paul Osam naming a squad of 21 – including seven players called up to the MU16s for the first time.

Alfie Lynskey of Aston Villa, Chelsea’s Harry McGlinchey, William Martin of Odense BK, Empoli’s Matteo Egan and Finn Harp’s Oisin Cooney all receive their first ever Ireland call-ups.

Shamrock Rovers’ Brody Lee (pictured number 10) and St. Patrick’s Athletic’s Michael Noonan (pictured number 9) are rewarded for their excellent performances for the Men’s Under-15s in the Torneo della Nazioni tournament by being named in Osam’s squad.

Ireland begin the tournament taking on Latvia on Wednesday, May 10 followed by Ukraine on Friday, May 12. They finish up playing the hosts Slovakia on Monday, May 15.
