MU15 | Review of 2021

A first taste of international football for the Men’s Under-15s side saw them win 2-0 against Montenegro in Podgorica thanks to goals from Cathal O’Sullivan (Cork City) and Darragh Marshall (Shamrock Rovers).

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the MU15s could only train together from July but they would go on to play seven times in 2021 as they went toe-to-toe with the likes of Poland, Mexico and Spain.

It was their draw against Mexico in the Football Federations Cup in Spain that was one of the standout performances of the season so far for Head Coach Jason Donohue.

Ireland were unfortunate to come away without the win against the Mexicans who they dominated throughout the game.

The MU15s are due to pick-up their international season in March with a planned double-header against Wales.
