Ireland Teams make most of Cerebral Palsy International Friendly Series

The first Cerebral Palsy International Friendly Series to be held in Dublin for both Men's and Women's Teams proved to be a big hit.

With Denmark, Scotland and USA invited over, the two Ireland teams were able to test themselves against quality opposition as they continue preparations for the IFCPF World Cup in Spain in November.

The Women's Team beat Denmark 11-4 in their first game with Heather Jameson (6), Ella Sherlock (2), Áine Monk, Robyn Ennis and Casey Heaney providing the goals.

In their second game, they lost 5-2 to World Champions USA with Jameson - who is team captain - netting the goals for Ireland at the AUL Complex in Dublin.

Two goals from Charlie Byrne helped the Men's Team to a 3-2 victory over Scotland with an own goal also helping them in their first game.

In the second game, a single goal from Dillon Sheridan proved to be the difference as Ireland overcame USA in a tight encounter.

Both teams will be pleased with these games as they build towards the World Cup in two months' time.
