FAI support for clubs impacted by recent extreme weather

The Football Association of Ireland has confirmed it will support any football club across the country which has been impacted by Storm Éowyn or Storm Herminia.

Ireland has experienced unprecedented damage caused by the recent weather systems, with widespread disruption to homes, services and communities across the country. Football infrastructure has not been spared, with many clubs experiencing damage to facilities as well as interruptions to operations and flooding.

The association is actively trying to assess the damage caused by the storm systems across the country and has reached out to all clubs to offer it’s support in restoring and recovering any damaged football infrastructure. For now, the priority should be safety and if required, seek support through their local authorities.

The National Emergency Coordination Group (NECG) has established Emergency Response Hubs and Local Coordination Groups in 16 Local Authority Areas to support recovery efforts. If your club has been affected, we strongly encourage you to contact your local authority for assistance. Below are the contact details for the areas most impacted:

If your club requires additional advice or guidance, please contact [email protected] or reach out to your local FAI Development Officer for support. Please check this link for the latest storm response communications from the government: https://www.gov.ie/en/news/19c88-storm-response/
