The Football Association of Ireland is delighted to announce the appointment of Eadaoin Keane as its Marketing and Communications Director.

Eadaoin will join the Association on August 1st from her role as Chief Marketing Officer with Vision Ireland, having previously worked as Irish Head of Marketing & Communications with global brand Circle K and in Senior Marketing roles with Aldi, Topline and Gowan Group.

With 20 years of diverse expertise in marketing, advertising and communications across well known and respected brands, Eadaoin is ideally placed to help enhance the brand perception and the reputation of Irish football, as well as driving overall participation levels within the game at all levels.

In Circle K, Eadaoin led the development of the forecourt retailers partnership with the FAI, including the title sponsorship of the Club Mark Development program, as well as developing the media and communications strategy supporting Circle K’s sponsorship of the Olympic Federation of Ireland for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

Eadaoin will join the Senior Leadership Team to lead the Marketing & Communications team, while playing a key role in shaping and influencing the 2026-2030 FAI Strategy.

She commented: “I’m delighted to be joining the FAI at such an important time for the sport. Football is part of the sporting fabric of Irish society, and I am passionate about the good work it can do for boys and girls of all backgrounds in all communities, from Grassroots through to creating national heroes at the senior level. I’m very proud to have been given the opportunity to help shape the future of Irish football."

FAI Interim CEO David Courell welcomed Eadaoin by saying: "It is exciting to bring someone of Eadaoin's experience to the Association to lead our Marketing and Communications Department.

"Eadaoin will bring new ideas and creativity to help elevate our brand and communications. She will be a strong addition to our Senior Leadership Team and I look forward to working with her."
