Day 2 Round-Up | 2026 FAI Amateur Inter-Provincial Tournament

Munster collected their second win of the 2026 FAI Amateur Inter-Provincial Tournament following the second day of action in Donegal.

Connacht FA 0-3 Munster FA
Eoin Murphy continued from where he left off on Friday evening by taking the lead as Munster's sharpshooter in Aileach FC, Inishown.

The Rockmount forward netted one in the previous and two in this contest as he opened and closed the scoring with finishes on 13 and 52 minutes.

In between those two Murphy goals was another notable contribution from Cian Murphy, also hailing from Rockmount stock, on 31 minutes.

Connacht admirably kept pushing to find a way back into the game but those early goals proved to be too much and Munster collected the win.

Ulster FA 1-2 Leinster FA
After conceding late on in their previous outing with Connacht, it was clear that Leinster learned from that as they won this game with a goal on 85 minutes.

Dean Kelly was the hero for Andy McNulty's side as he notched his second goal of the tournament when connecting with Ryan Fitzsimons. It was joy for Leinster but heartbreak for Ulster.

Leinster did take the lead on 13 minutes when Malahide United's Gareth Craven fired in - also from a Fitzsimons assist - but the home team hit back through Edward O'Reilly on 65 minutes.

It set it up for a thrilling closing period with both teams going for it. Leinster, ultimately, came out on top to get their first win of this year's tournament.
