Cadbury continues to support Irish football with 'Paint It Green' campaign

The Football Association of Ireland is delighted to partner with Cadbury as they inspire the nation to Paint March Green in support of the Republic of Ireland’s Women’s and Men’s National Football Teams.

As proud partners of both squads, Cadbury is calling on fans and communities across Ireland to unite behind the national teams as they embark on a pivotal month of international football.

Cadbury has been a proud partner of the Republic of Ireland’s Women’ National Team since 2021 and through initiatives such as ‘Cadbury Become A Supporter & A Half’ campaign, FAI Cadbury Kick Fit, and Grounds For Change, Cadbury has encouraged the nation to get involved and show their support. The Paint March Green campaign aims to get the nation behind both the national teams as they embark on their exciting World Cup and EUROs campaigns.

Speaking about the Paint March Green campaign, Cadbury Senior Brand Manager Chocolate - Ireland, Seamus Harahan says: “There’s great excitement around both our national football teams who are preparing for some of the biggest tournaments in the world. Since 2021, we’ve been incredibly proud to stand behind the WNT and to play a small role in the growth and momentum around women’s football, and now we’re proud to stand with both our national teams as proud sponsors.

"We’re encouraging the nation to get behind the teams in green together - whether it’s dawning your favouring green top, tuning into the games, leaving messages of support or simply being a Cadbury Supporter & A Half! Help us Paint March Green and get behind the boys and girls in green.”

FAI Commercial Director, Sean Kavanagh, said: “Cadbury has been an outstanding partner to work with, and they have done excellent work in helping to raise the profile of women and girls’ football in Ireland since 2021. We’re thrilled that Cadbury has extended their partnership to now also support our Men’s National Team as part of a wider collaboration that will undoubtedly have a big role to play in the promotion of Irish football over what is a really exciting period through to 2029.”

Republic of Ireland Women’s National Team Head Coach, Carla Ward, said: “The support from Cadbury has made a real difference to the growth of women and girls’ football across the country and it’s fantastic to see Cadbury extend its sponsorship to both national teams.”

Republic of Ireland Men’s National Team Head Coach, Heimir Hallgrímsson, said: “We are delighted to welcome Cadbury as a partner to the Men’s National Team at such an important moment for Irish football as we prepare for the World Cup Qualifying Play-Offs.”

The Republic of Ireland Men’s National Team will take on Czechia in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifying Play-Offs on March 26th in the Fortuna Arena, Prague. The winners will then face either Denmark or North Macedonia in the Play-Off Final, with Ireland’s game set to be hosted at the Aviva Stadium on March 31st.

Meanwhile, the Women’s National Team will continue their 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup qualifying campaign when they take on Poland in back-to-back games on April 14th & 18th – with the latter being hosted in the Aviva Stadium.
