BU15 | Donohue names squad for Northern Ireland friendly

Ireland Boys’ Under-15s Head Coach Jason Donohue has a named a 18-player squad for an international friendly against Northern Ireland this weekend.

The young Boys in Green will take on the North in a match in Dublin on Saturday afternoon with each player in the squad currently playing in the EA SPORTS LOI Academy.

It is the Under-15s’ first game since beating Hungary 2-1 at the FAI National Training Centre back in February. The match-winner that day, Derry City’s Jamie O’Donnell, misses out due to injury.

Goalkeepers: Alex Byrne (Shamrock Rovers), Charlie McGarvey (Sligo Rovers).

Defenders: Maxim Afonin (Shamrock Rovers),  Kimson Kibaga (St. Patrick’s Athletic), Luke  Malone Byrne (St. Patrick’s Athletic), Jayden Marshall (Shamrock Rovers), Ben Nicholls (Bohemians), Charlie Nolan (Shamrock Rovers), Daniel O’Halloran (St. Patrick’s Athletic).

Midfielders: Johnny Collins (Shamrock Rovers), Ciaran Daly (Shamrock Rovers), Blake Devereux Lynch (St. Patrick’s Athletic), Josh O’Dwyer (Shamrock Rovers), Bobby Zeller (Shamrock Rovers).

Forwards: Jonathan Echefu (Galway United), Corey Fay (Shamrock Rovers), Ethan Kelly (St. Patrick’s Athletic), Archie Quinn (Shamrock Rovers).
