REPORT | Lebanon 0-4 WU16

For the second successive game, the Republic of Ireland Women's Under-16s scored four goals and conceded none as they continued their fine start to a Development Tournament in Malta.

After beating Turkey last week, Tom Elmes's team showed their quality again in dispatching Lebanon at the Centenary Stadium with their attacking game clicking from early on.

Shelbourne midfielder Aoife Kelly, who was captain for the day, got things started with a finish inside the opening seven minutes and that set the tempo for Ireland.

Joy Ralph got the second goal on 21 minutes before Lia O'Leary made it 3-0 on the half hour. The game-plan was working a treat as Ireland moved the ball well, pressed high and created goalscoring chances.

Elmes made a number of changes in the second period and one of those, Jodie Loughrey, got their fourth goal just before time ran out on another convincing win for Ireland.
