Republic of Ireland Men's Under-16s kick-off their Victory Shield campaign against Wales at the Regional Sports Centre in Waterford on Sunday.

Ireland will be looking to claim a third Victory Shield title since they entered the prestigious tournament in 2015. Osam was at the helm when he led a team boasting Adam Idah, Jason Knight and Nathan Collins to victory in 2016 and followed it up a year later by winning it in Belfast with a Troy Parrott inspired Ireland.

The young Boys in Green face a Wales in the first of three games against neighbouring nations. They take on Northern Ireland on Tuesday in Tramore AFC and return to the RSC on Friday where they face Scotland.

All of Ireland's fixtures will be shown live and for free on LOITV.ie.

Republic of Ireland Men's Under-16s Head Coach Paul Osam, said: "These games are really competitive. It's a developmental age - and that's the objective for the season - but when you come up against your near neighbours, all that goes out the window.

"Everyone will want to win this tournament, it has a great tradition and I know the teams take it very seriously. There will be a lot of competition with each wanting to win which is why they tend to be good games."
