Aviva Soccer Sisters

Soccer Sisters
The FAI Aviva Soccer Sisters Programme have been invaluable to the development and growth of the women’s game in Ireland over the last decade. The programme was created under the "Introduction to Football" banner and it’s aim is to increase the number of girls playing football while utilising facilities countrywide. Since its inception, over 30,000 participants have been involved in the programmes, this has led to the formation of new clubs and / or girls sections in clubs throughout the country. These programmes are also designed to attract new volunteers into football i.e. parents and guardians who it is then hoped will also get involved in the game in some capacity. Played at venues countrywide girls can learn to play soccer in a fun, friendly and safe environment. The children will be introduced to basic movement and skills and will learn the disciplines and fundamental rules of the game. They are also encouraged to forge new friendships and develop interpersonal skills.
Why Take Part?
All girls should have an equal opportunity to get involved in football and Aviva Soccer Sisters provides this opportunity.
