Captain Madison McGuane led by example by charging down an opposition defender inside the opening three minutes, stealing the ball and firing in the opener. It set the tone for how Ireland would approach this game.
Finley Newell was next to score when she connected with a free-kick from Ella Kelly to head in. Shelbourne's Maeve Wollmer was next up on 20 minutes with a conversion from inside the six-yard box.
Newell, McGuane and Wollmer all got a second each before Shamrock Rovers forward Anna Butler got involved with two first-half goals and then Tess Finn also netted to make it 9-0 by half-time.
Butler completed her hat-trick on 50 minutes and then Peamount United ace Sophie Byrne blasted in at the back post on 84 minutes to wrap up the win.
Ireland will take on Georgia in their next game on Saturday, October 10th before completing the Round 1 qualifiers against Bulgaria on Tuesday, October 13th.
