A brace from Kiera Sena helped secure a 3-1 victory for the Ireland Women's Under-19s against Finland in their second 2024-25 UEFA WU19 European Championship Qualifier.

Captain Lia O'Leary got the Girls in Green back into the game with a goal on 36 minutes after Finland had taken the lead through Aada Makela inside the opening 20 minutes.

Cork City ace Sena then put Ireland in front on 42 minutes to justify her starting position after coming off the bench in the previous game against Bulgaria, where she also scored.

The attacking approach adopted by Head Coach Dave Connell suited his team for this contest with 16 attempts on goal registered.

Sena got their third goal on 77 minutes to seal the win and ensure that they remain in the mix to top Group A3 ahead of meeting Norway on Tuesday.

Ireland: Katie Keane; Aoibhe Brennan, Grace Fitzpatrick Ryan, Aoife Kelly, Mary Phillips, Kiera Sena; Jess Fitzgerald, Ellen Dolan; Hannah Healy (Katie O'Reilly 65), Lia O'Leary; Joy Ralph (Niamh Cotter 88).
