REPORT | WU17 | Ireland 3-0 Hungary

A first game of 2026 for the Ireland Women's Under-17s ended in a 3-0 victory over Hungary in an International Friendly in the Pinatar Arena, Spain.

Shamrock Rovers attacker Kassie McLoughlin opened the scoring after 18 minutes before Sligo Rovers ace Ava Hallinan extended their lead just before half-time.

Substitute Ciara Milton converted a second-half penalty to pick up on the goalscoring form that she showed last year with a return of four goals.

This was an impressive display by James Scott's team - who were captained by Madison McGuane on her 17th appearance at this level - and they always look the likeliest to win.

The teams will meet again on Saturday, February 7th as Ireland step up their preparations for upcoming UEFA EURO Qualifiers.

Ireland: Sarah Doyle; Holly O'Hagan, Tess Finn, Emma Mooney, Ava Hallinan; Alex Devoy, Madison McGuane (Catherine Oliveira 70); Kassie McLoughlin (Ciara Milton 60), Alice Buggle (Hailey Twomey 70), Abbie Duffy (Sophie Byrne 60); Halle Harcourt (Ellen Goggin 55).
