The Ireland Men’s Under-17’s suffer a narrow defeat against Poland in the Syrenka Cup tournament.

Despite leaving it all out on the pitch, the Boys in Green couldn’t find a way to break through the Polish side for a second time to bring them back into the game.

It was an early goal that gave Poland the lead before Galway United’s Ronan Keating placed one in the back of the net to put Ireland back level with plenty of time left on the clock.

Poland found the target again in the 58^th minute and took back the lead to then go on to hold out until the final whistle and secure the win.

This is the second to last of the international friendlies for the under 17’s with plenty to take away for Lead Coach, Keith O’Halloran’s side.

They now look ahead to their final fixture against Czechia in the Sulejowek Municipal Stadium on September 30^th at 11am.
