First-half goals from Maisy Healy and Mia Whelan set the visitors on their way before Ava Gallagher and Fiadh Woods got one apiece while Healy completed her hat-trick.
Healy, who led the team out as captain, was exceptional and the Holy Faith Secondary School ace showed just why she has already been capped by the Ireland Girls' Under-16s this year.
With England and Scotland not featuring in the competition this year, it's a straight shoot-out between these two teams and Richie Berekely's side have seized a big advantage.
This was a dominant display by Ireland with Mairead Mullins and Daisy Fleming also going close with efforts on goal in the first period, but they shifted up a gear after the interval.
Five different substitutions gave Ireland some extra energy and that helped them to increase their lead on 57 minutes having already built up a two-goal lead. They were never going to be caught after that.
The two teams will meet again on Sunday, March 29 in Whitehall, Dublin with kick-off set for 14:00 in Home Farm FC.
