MU18 | O'Brien names squad for Belgium friendlies

Colin O’Brien will take a Men’s Under-18s squad to Spain for a double-header against Belgium next week.

The squad of 20 will face the Belgians at the Oliva Nova Resort in the north east of the country on Thursday, November 16 and Saturday, November 18.

Seven of the squad were part of the U17 EUROs side that reached the quarter finals of the Championships this past summer.

There are also first Ireland call-ups for five players; Theo Avery (Nottingham Forest), Brian Cunningham (Galway United), Sam Folarin (Portsmouth), Conor Reynolds (Sligo Rovers) and Aaron Moloney (Shelbourne).

Defenders: Stanley Ashbee (Hull City), Jake Grante (Crystal Palace), Daniel Babb (UCD) Sean McCarthy (Bohemians) Adam O’Halloran (Galway United), Conor Reynolds (Sligo Rovers), Adam Queally (Waterford)

Midfielders: Anthony Dodd (St. Patrick’s Athletic), Aaron Moloney (Shelbourne), Daniel McGrath (Lommel SK), John O’Sullivan (Shamrock Rovers)
