This will be the third time Head Coach Colin O'Brien has brought an MU17 side to Turner's Cross for U17 EURO qualifiers and it's great opportunity for fans to see the next generation of Irish internationals.

In 2019, O'Brien's squad boasted the likes of Evan Ferguson and Sinclair Armstrong who have since gone on to play senior international football. That class of 2019 also included Under-21s internationals Andrew Moran, Bosun Lawal, Ollie O'Neill, Tayo Adaramola and Anselmo Garcia MacNulty. In 2021, Under-21 caps Sam Curtis and Rocco Vata were among the squad who advanced to the Elite Phase.
