MU15 | 26 players called-up to training camp

Republic of Ireland Men’s Under-15s Head Coach Jason Donohue has called-in a group of 26 players for a three-day training camp at FAI National Training Centre, Abbotstown.

It is the first gathering of the 2009 born group with 10 clubs represented – nine of which are from LOI Academy clubs.

The players are taking part in two days of training before playing an in-house friendly on Thursday.

Head Coach Jason Donohue said: “It’s an opportunity for the players to impress ahead of our UEFA Development Tournament in Serbia next month. I’m looking forward to it and speaking to the players selected, they are too.

“They’re now stepping into an international environment and in addition to on-the-pitch training, the players will receive CPR training and media training as part of their in-camp education.

“It’s a holistic approach that proven successful for us in previous years and such is the nature of football a player’s talent can carry them into the spotlight very quickly. We always aim to provide them with the right tools to develop as both players and people."
