Important information for supporters travelling to Yerevan for Armenia v Republic of Ireland on September 9. Includes stadium details, transport, safety advice, and consular contacts.

Info for fans travelling to Yerevan for Armenia v Republic of Ireland September 9th  20:00 (local time), 17:00 Irish time.

The game will be played in the Republican Stadium, 65 Vardanants St., Yerevan.

Snacks and soft drinks will be available for sale. 

The stadium is a 15 minute walk from Republic Square.  The nearest metro station is Zoravar Andranik.

We expect most fans to arrive via Zvartnots Airport.  Bus #201 serves the centre but only runs from 7am-10pm.  A taxi should cost no more than AMD6,000 or €14.

Taxis are good value.  We recommend using the Yandex or GG apps.  Note many will just accept cash.

Roaming costs can be very high when using an Irish mobile in Armenia.  We recommend getting a local Sim card at the airport or using an eSim. 

Please note the emergency number for Armenia is 911.

We recommend having a scan of your passport on your phone and in your email in case it gets lost or stolen.  This will aid having replacement travel documents issued.

There is no Irish embassy in Yerevan.  If you require consular assistance you can contact to honorary consul - Jonathan Stark
