FAI confirms venue for UEFA Nations League fixture against Israel

The Football Association of Ireland (FAI) confirms that the 2026-27 UEFA Nations League fixture between Ireland and Israel on Sunday, October 4th will take place at a neutral venue in Bačka Topola, Serbia.

This follows a decision taken by the FAI Board to move the fixture to a neutral territory due to operational challenges that could impact on the delivery of the game on home soil.

The change of venue has been approved by UEFA and the game will be played in the TSC Arena in Bačka Topola behind-closed-doors, with the kick-off time to be confirmed in due course.

This announcement completes the venue scheduling for Ireland’s upcoming UEFA Nations League campaign. It follows the confirmation that the first encounter with Israel will take place at the Nagyerdei Stadion in Debrecen, Hungary, on Sunday, September 27th.

Ireland will open their campaign away to Kosovo on Thursday, September 24th, before traveling to Hungary. The team will return to the Aviva Stadium on Thursday, October 1st to face Austria, prior to the fixture in Serbia.

As a result of the change of venue for the Israel fixture, the Association will update its 2026 FAI Season Ticket holders and Club Ireland members regarding compensation owed.
