FAI and DHL Express Ireland agree three-year contract extension

The Football Association of Ireland are delighted to announce a new agreement with DHL Express Ireland that will extend DHL’s role as Official Logistics Partner to the FAI for a further three years.

Additionally the extended contract will see DHL become a named sponsor of the Ireland Women’s National Team for the first time.

The extended partnership will see DHL Express Ireland continue to provide their expert logistical expertise across all levels of Irish football as a key partner of the FAI since the mid-1990s and will see DHL deliver for Stephen Kenny’s Senior Men’s team and Vera Pauw’s Senior Women’s side, as well as all international squads.

Commenting on today’s announcement, Brian Murray, Commercial Director, DHL Express Ireland, said: “We are delighted to renew this longstanding partnership and reconfirm our commitment to providing our unparalleled logistics expertise to the FAI. As Official Logistics Partner to the FAI for over 25 years, we have been proud to support Irish international football at all levels.

"This year we are absolutely thrilled to be coming on board as a named sponsor of the Women’s National Team. Their recent success has brought a renewed passion and joy for Irish football and is opening up the sport to a new audience – and we can’t wait to help deliver football to them.”

Brian Murray continued: “We would like to extend our best wishes to Vera Pauw and her senior team as they prepare for their historic inclusion in the World Cup in 2023 and we are looking forward to providing our world class logistics services in Australia and New Zealand.”

FAI Commercial Director Sean Kavanagh said: “The three-year extension of our partnership with DHL and their new status as partners with our World Cup bound Senior Women’s Team is great news for the Football Association of Ireland as we look forward to so many important games for all our teams in 2023 and beyond.

"DHL are one of our longest standing partners and the commitment of Brian and his team to Irish football is outstanding and most welcome – they have consistently delivered for the FAI and we look forward to delivering for them on the pitch for the next three years of this valued relationship.”
