BU16 | Ireland squad named for UEFA tournament in Poland

Ireland Boys Under-16s Head Coach Paul Osam has named a 20-player squad for a UEFA Development Tournament in Poland next week.

The young Irish side will face the hosts on Tuesday, May 13 before taking on North American opposition in Canda on Thursday, May 15. They finish the competition with a game against Egypt on Sunday, May 18 in what will be their final activity of the season.

Among the squad is Wexford’s Finn O’Leary who earns a first-time call up to an Irish international squad.

It has been a positive year for the Under-16s who lifted the Victory Shield last autumn, defeated Finland 3-2 in Dublin and notched a credible 2-2 away draw with Belgium.
