Adult Disability Services Blitz makes impact in Donegal

Leckview Park, home of Letterkenny Rovers, was the venue for another hugely successful Adult Disability Services Football For All blitz.

The blitzes are part of an ongoing collaboration between the Football Association of Ireland, Donegal Horizons and Letterkenny Rovers with the support of Donegal Local Sports Partnership.

Overall, there were 18 teams from across County Donegal who took part in glorious sunshine, serving up plenty of goals and brilliant play while having great fun along the way.

The blitz programme has gone from strength to strength since being introduced in 2024 and is now set on the calendar for all the participating services.

"We are delighted with the success of the football blitzes. There is great excitement amongst all the players taking part. We had over 100 service users playing, which is great to see. They can't wait for the next one later in the summer," said Seamus Friel, Donegal Horizons.
