Head of Women and Girls Football

The Football Association of Ireland is inviting applications for the role of Head of Women and Girls Football. Reporting to the Director of Football, this senior role will lead the development, growth, and delivery of the women’s and girls’ game nationwide.

We are seeking an experienced leader with strong knowledge of the Irish football landscape, proven ability to deliver strategy and manage stakeholders, and a passion for driving participation and performance in women’s and girls’ football. A UEFA B Licence (minimum) is required, with preference for candidates holding a UEFA A or Pro Licence.

Finance Director

The Football Association of Ireland is inviting applications for the role of Finance Director. Reporting to the CEO and as part of the Senior Leadership Team, this role will lead the FAI’s financial strategy, operations, and compliance to ensure long-term stability and growth.

We are seeking a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 10+ years’ senior leadership experience, strong commercial acumen, and proven ability to manage teams, deliver financial strategy, and advise at Board level.

Legal & Governance Director

The Football Association of Ireland is inviting applications for the role of Director of Legal & Governance. This senior leadership role will provide strategic direction on legal, regulatory, and governance matters, while overseeing the organisation’s risk and compliance frameworks.

As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Director will also act as Company Secretary and Data Protection Officer, ensuring the FAI meets statutory requirements, ethical standards, and international football regulations.

We are seeking an experienced governance and legal professional with a strong track record in leadership, compliance, and corporate governance, and the ability to advise at Board level and represent the FAI with key stakeholders.

Independent Non-Executive Director

The Football Association of Ireland is inviting applications for the role of Independent Non-Executive Director to join its Board. This voluntary position plays a key role in providing strategic guidance, governance, and oversight to support the continued growth and development of Irish football.

While this vacancy has a particular focus on candidates with strong financial expertise, the FAI also welcomes applications from those with backgrounds in governance, commercial, legal, and other relevant areas.
