Born in San Diego, Kyra qualifies through grandparents who hail from Cork and Laois respectively. The former Georgetown and Stanford college player was drafted in the NWSL but opted to move to Europe - firstly to France and then to Denmark.

She made her Ireland debut in the EURO 2022 qualifier away to Montenegro.
