NATHAN Collins is a strong defender who comes from a strong footballing family. His father David played for Ireland up to U21 level and his uncle Eamonn also played underage for Ireland and later managed St Patrick's Athletic.

The former Cherry Orchard defender moved to Stoke City in 2016 and featured for Ireland throughout U17, U19 & U21 levels before moving up to senior level in 2021.

Collins made his senior international debut in October 2021 in the impressive 4-0 friendly victory over Qatar at the Aviva Stadium.

As Nathan broke into the Burnley first-team during the 2021/22 Premier League season, his stock continued to grow after a string of impressive performances in the UEFA Nations League in 2022.

Collins hit all of the headlines in the final match of the June international window in the UEFA Nations League when he scored a stunning solo goal in the 1-1 draw against Ukraine.

Following the conclusion of the window, where he played all four matches, Wolverhampton Wanderers signed Nathan Collins for a reported €20.5 million ahead of the 2022/23 season.
