Republic of Ireland women's U19 manager, Susan Ronan has announced a squad of 18 players who will face Croatia, Faroe Islands and Finland in the UEFA Championship, first qualifying phase in Croatia from September 19-24.

The Irish will kick-off their campaign against group hosts, Croatia on Saturday, September 19 which is followed by the meeting with the Faroe Islands on Monday, September 21. The "Girls in Green" complete the mini-tournament on Thursday, September 24 knowing that only the top two teams will advance to the elite qualifying phase of the competition.

Irish manager, Susan Ronan said, "This qualifying group is going to be incredibly tough for our side, Croatia and Finland have a good record at this level and they are more than accustomed to qualifying for the elite qualifying phase of this competition throughout the years. Despite losing eleven players from last year's panel which is basically the backbone of the squad, I have no doubt that we will go to Croatia, eager to keep up our fantastic record at this stage of the competition."

"Earlier this month, we played a very tough double international friendly with Belgium, drawing both games 0-0 & 2-2; I was pleased with the performance in the first game, which we could have won but we have plenty to work to do ahead of the first game against Croatia next week," added Ronan.
