UPDATE | U21s back in training ahead of Italy

Jim Crawford’s Republic of Ireland Under-21s returned to training yesterday ahead of their final European Championship qualifying group game against Italy in Ascoli on Tuesday.

The young Boys in Green trained at FAI HQ, Abbotstown yesterday afternoon after securing a first ever UEFA European U21 Championship play-off spot on Thursday but have a chance of securing an automatic place in next summer’s finals with a win over the Azzuri.

Injury news
The only injury concern is Walsall’s Oisin McEntee who sustained a shoulder injury against Bosnia & Herzegovina.
