As part of the new deal, Umbro Ireland has introduced for the first time a Women’s range, including bespoke home and away jerseys. Umbro Ireland will supply the national teams – men’s and women’s – from senior through to all underage levels with kit, training apparel and equipment from November 2020, beginning with the Senior Men’s Team for their friendly against England at Wembley Stadium on Thursday, November 12th.

Ireland will join a host of global sporting teams wearing Umbro kits, including England Rugby (RFU), Santos, West Ham United, Shamrock Rovers and Dundalk FC to name but a few, in a relationship that coincides with an exciting time for Irish football.

Stephen Kenny’s Senior Men’s team are about to play England in a friendly, conclude their UEFA Nations League group fixtures and embark on the qualification campaign for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, while Vera Pauw’s Senior Women’s team will play Germany in their final EURO 2022 qualifier next month. The Umbro Ireland deal will also include full kit, training apparel and equipment for the Ireland underage teams, including Jim Crawford’s Under 21 squad as they look to qualify for the UEFA European Championships.

Jonathan Courtenay, Managing Director of JACC Sports Distributors, said: “We are delighted to bring the world famous Umbro double diamond logo back to the Irish national team shirts, especially as Umbro and the FAI have such a storied history in both the 1960s and then again between 1994 and 2017. Ireland boast some of the most passionate and loyal supporters in the world and we look forward to creating new product that the players and fans alike will be proud to wear.

"We are also excited to be introducing bespoke women’s kits for the first time and we wish Vera Pauw’s team all the best in their upcoming European Championship fixture against Germany. All of the new kit for both men and women can be purchased from faishop.com and Intersport Elverys from November 5th.”

Proud of its commitment to women’s football and growing the women’s game at all levels, the Football Association of Ireland is delighted to introduce a bespoke product for our international women’s teams at all ages. Ireland and Peamount United star Aine O’Gorman said: “It’s a great step forward that we have our own women’s fit and women’s range for the Ireland teams. It’s a different look to the men’s kit and hopefully we can do the business in it.”

Looking forward to wearing the new Umbro Ireland green kit against England at Wembley on November 12th, Ireland and Celtic defender Shane Duffy said: “I really like this kit. It’s a little throwback to the past and I can’t wait to get it on. The new away kit is inspired by the 30th anniversary of Italia ’90 and the aim now is to make our own moments and create memories for us.”
