The UEFA Nations League has a huge bearing on the sedding places for the UEFA EURO 2020 Qualifying draw that takes place on December 2nd in Dublin's Convention Centre. Currently the Republic of Ireland are a second seed for that draw, however, our final placing in the UEFA Nations League will dictate which pot Ireland will be in for the draw.

Table

The following is the possible results for Ireland and the knock on affect for the EURO 2020 draw.

Beat Wales, Beat Denmark          Group winners, promoted and second seeds.

Beat Wales, Draw Denmark         Score draw would guarantee second place. Otherwise, would need Denmark to win or draw v Wales for second place and second seeds.

Beat Wales, Lose Denmark          Would need Denmark to beat Wales unless we beat Wales on the head-to-head when a draw would do us for second place and second seeds.

Draw Wales, Beat Denmark         Would need a decisive result in the Wales-Denmark match. Otherwise, we would probably be bottom and relegated on overall goal difference.

Draw Wales, Draw Denmark       Bottom place and relegated. Third seeds also.

Draw Wales, Lose Denmark         Bottom place and relegated. Third seeds also.

Lose Wales, Beat Denmark          Would need Wales to beat Denmark and we would be in second place and second seeds.

Lose Wales, Draw Denmark         Bottom place and relegated. Third seeds also.

Lose Wales, Lose Denmark          Bottom place and relegated. Third seeds also.

The bottom line is that tonight's game at the Aviva Stadium is vital. Lets get in the stadium early and get the stadium rocking!
