Republic of Ireland Under-19 Head Coach Paul Doolin has named his squad for next week's double-header friendly in Slovenia, the last workouts before the UEFA qualifying series kicks off in October.

Doolin has already had an opportunity to observe the talent as his disposal in the away double-header to Serbia earlier in August, which saw Ireland lose the first game and win the second.

For these two games, on September 3 and 5, the boss has recalled several of his regulars.

The first phase qualifiers are scheduled for 6-11 October when Ireland meet Russia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and mini-group hosts Bulgaria in the quest to grab one of the two places on offer into the elite phase.

Doolin said: "We assessed a number of players in Serbia but this squad was picked with the qualifiers in mind. Rather than just arrive in Bulgaria, these pair of matches provide the opportunity for the lads to prepare properly as a team unit."

Republic of Ireland U-19 squad:
Sean McDermott (Arsenal), Alan Smith (Rangers), Michael Keane (Manchester United), Sean McGinty (Manchester United), Neill Byrne (Nottingham Forrest), Derrick Williams (Aston Villa), Bradley Garmston (West Bromwich Albion), Connor Morrisey (Manchester City), John O'Sullivan (Blackburn Rovers), Kealan Dillon (Derby County), Samir Carruthers (Aston Villa), George Smith (Southend United), Shane Byrne (Leicester City), Niall Lanigan (St. Patrick Athletic), Connor Smith (Watford), Graham Burke (Aston Villa), Paul George (Celtic), Sean Murray (Watford), Ben Glasgow (Arsenal), Aiden O'Brien (Milwall).
