Seven changes for second U16 friendly against Czech Rep
Republic of Ireland Under-16 manager John Morling will give all seven substitutes from Tuesday night's 2-1 victory the Czech Republic a starting place in tonight's line-up for the second part of the double-header (7.30pm).
The match, which is being played at Kingspan Century Park in Monaghan, will be used by Morling to assess how these newcomers fare against a talented Czech side.
"The lads did very well to come from behind and win on Tuesday but, importantly, the performance was extremely satisfactory," said Morling.
"Once we settled down after conceding, the players showed good discipline in keeping to their passing game and we created a number of good chances.
"However, At Under-15 and Under-16 levels, it's all about seeing as many players in action within an international setting to ensure Sean McCaffrey has a strong pool to choose from when it comes around to the Under-17 European Championship qualifying campaign early next season. For that reason, I am giving starts to all the substitutes from Tuesday and will be interested to gage their performance at this level."
