RTÉ to broadcast Brazil v Rep of Ireland
RTÉ Sport is delighted to announce that is has secured the live broadcast rights for the Republic of Ireland's friendly against five times world champions and current favourites to win the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, Brazil. The match will be broadcast live from the Emirates Stadium in London on RTÉ Two television and streamed live on RTÉ.ie Glen Killane, Group Head of Sport, RTÉ said: 'Following the Republic of Ireland's recent heroic bid to qualify for this summer's World Cup Irish fans' huge interest in supporting our National team continues and so we are delighted to have reached an agreement with match organisers Kentaro to broadcast this game live and free-to-air on RTÉ.' Live television coverage of the game will begin on Tuesday 2 March at 7.30pm on RTÉ Two as Bill O'Herlihy is joined by John Giles, Eamon Dunphy and Ronnie Whelan for pre and post match analysis and debate. The match will also be streamed live here on www.rte.ie/sport within the Republic of Ireland
