Sky Heesen, Julian Oerip and Yoel van den Ban were on the scoresheet in what was, despite the scoreline, a very competitive game for Colin O’Brien’s side.
O’Brien rang the changes with only three players keeping their place in the starting eleven from their win during the week.
The Netherlands opened the scoring midway through the first half, Sky Heesen scoring from a free header following a corner.
Mason Milea had an effort blocked after some good work from Shaun Wade to set up the attack. Danny McGrath then had the best chance for Ireland with a volley to the bottom corner that Te Fruchte did well to push out for a corner.
The Netherlands got their second goal in the closing period of the game with Julian Oerip curling the ball past Collins from 20 yards. They added a third late on when they were awarded a penalty that Yoel van den Ban converted.
