Official mascot unveiled for UEFA Under-17 EUROs
Following a nationwide search, where primary school students in 5th and 6th class were eligible to enter, the winning design of the tournament mascot came from Clara Hogan, Scoil Mhuire, Barntown, County Wexford.
Republic of Ireland U-17 Head Coach Colin O'Brien was present in Tallaght Stadium on Wednesday to congratulate Clara on her winning design and to invite her to be a player escort for Ireland's opening game of the tournament in May.
Barry The Bodhran will visit each of the tournament venues as well as local schools in the coming weeks to bring the message of Tomorrow’s Stars Today coming to Ireland with this fantastic European tournament.
Following on from John O'Shea being confirmed as tournament ambassador, this new mascot will help to build excitement ahead of the games kicking off on May 3 in selected venues in Dublin, Longford, and Waterford.
Tickets for the tournament will go on sale from 22 February at 11am for the General Public. Prices for Adults start at €5, with all Under-16s getting FREE ENTRY for games.
