MNT: Ireland set to face France in Paris

The Republic of Ireland will return to the Stade de France stadium to face France in an international friendly game on May 28.
15th Dec 2017

This will be the 17th meeting between the two teams at men's senior level and the first since the Last-16 clash in Lyon at EURO 2016, where France went all the way to the final.

Ireland have a good record in Paris with a 2-0 win in 1937, a 1-1 draw in 1973, and a 0-0 draw in 2004 - although there were also three defeats since that very first game.

This friendly encounter is one of a number of games in advance of the UEFA Nations League, which kicks off in September and the draw for that tournament takes place on January 24.
