Mansion House hosts Qualifying Draw Dinner

The Round Room at Dublin's Mansion House provided the perfect setting for the official dinner for the EURO 2020 Qualifying Draw.
2nd Dec 2018

Members of all 55 UEFA nations were present at the Lord Mayor's residence for a special function staged the night before the Qualifying Draw took place in Dublin's Convention Centre.

While the official dinner was a way to welcome so many guests to Dublin, it also acted as the ideal end to a fantastic week celebrating Dublin's hosting of the Qualifying Draw and four games at EURO 2020.

There had been trophy visits to schools, street football takeovers, a bridge lighting ceremony, and a special reception for the Republic of Ireland's first ever squad to compete at a European Championships.

The hosting of the Qualifying Draw will also coincide with the launch of the National Football Exhibition at the Printworks, Dublin Castle, which will open to the public on Sunday, December 2. The Exhibition will be home to a number of elements with historical significance to Irish football.

Four tournament games will be hosted at the Aviva Stadium during UEFA EURO 2020 - the largest sporting event to ever be hosted in the country.
