Kieran Sadlier drafted into U17 squad
Kieran Sadlier of West Ham United has been added to the Republic of Ireland Under-17 squad in place of the unavailable Carel Tiofack for the upcoming UEFA Under-17 Championship first phase qualifiers in Malta from September 25-30.
It's the only enforced change in personnel required to be made by manager John Morling ahead of the qualifiers against Malta, Albania and Norway.
The Irish will compete in with mini-group with the three other nations for the top two spots in the group which would book them a place in the elite stage of the qualification series next year.
The Irish squad assembled in Leeds on Monday and will train there until Thursday when they depart for Malta.
As Ireland will play their three matches on a synthetic surface, the squad are preparing for the game by training on an artificial pitch in England.
