Republic of Ireland Under-15 manager John Morling has announced a squad of 36 players for the upcoming Celtic tri-nations tournament in Cardiff. Ireland will take on Wales and Northern Ireland in ‘A’ and ‘B’ games over the weekend of May 15/16.

The Republic of Ireland squad will be divided into two selections of 18 players for the matches.

Ireland will meet Northern Ireland in two games, at ‘A’ and ‘B’ level, on Friday May 15 before facing hosts Wales the following day, Saturday May 16, in another pair of matches.

These will the final fixtures of the campaign for this season’s Under-15 group and Morling is looking forward to seeing his charges in action.

“These four matches will provide us with an opportunity to try out new players as well as reintroducing some of the lads who were with us earlier in the season,” he said.

“The recent matches against a tough Netherlands team were a good learning exercise for the players and we’ll be hoping they can build on those workouts when we travel to Wales next week.”
