Ireland MNT: Kelleher links up with squad

The Republic of Ireland underwent the first of two days training at Dragon Park, Newport following their opening game in the UEFA Nations League against Wales.

Ireland underage international & Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher took part in the session after being invited by manager Martin O'Neill to train with the squad for two days.

The other players involved were either un-used or substitutes who came on in the loss to Wales, while the rest of the squad underwent a recovery session in the team hotel.

Forward Jonathan Walters has returned to Ipswich Town, while other players are being assessed by the FAI medical team.

The Ireland squad will train again in Wales on Saturday before departing for Poland ahead of their international friendly on Tuesday evening.
