Huge interest as Season Tickets pass 15,000 mark

The Football Association of Ireland is delighted to confirm huge interest in FAI Season Tickets as over 15,000 fans have already committed their support in 2022 to the men’s senior national team and the six upcoming fixtures at the Aviva Stadium.

With the public sale of Season Tickets open until March 21st, the 2022 figure has already surpassed the last pre-COVID-19 sales total of 14,500 in 2020. Over 15,000 tickets are already sold ahead of the March friendlies against Belgium and Lithuania, the UEFA Nations League games against Ukraine and Scotland in June and Armenia in September along with a home friendly in November.

“The show of support from our fans for our Season Ticket offering and for Stephen Kenny’s young squad has been just phenomenal and we are so looking forward to seeing these fans and many more in the Aviva Stadium next month for the games against Belgium and Lithuania,” said FAI CEO Jonathan Hill.

“Following our sell-out for the World Cup qualifier against Portugal last November, our fans have clearly identified that the best way to guarantee your seat for all the games in 2022, including Ukraine and Scotland at home in the UEFA Nations League in June, is via an FAI Season Ticket. We believe the current offering is tremendous value for money and these really strong sales figures already for our Season Tickets confirm that.”

Based on current sales to previous season ticket holders and the public, the FAI expects the figure to grow substantially via online ticket sales before the release of individual match tickets for the March fixtures on Monday.

Speaking after the successful public sales launch this week, FAI Head of Marketing Orlagh Ni Corcorain said: “We are absolutely delighted with the initial response to our Season Ticket offering for 2022, both from those existing Season Ticket holders renewing for this season and also from the commencement of the public sale which has gone really well.

“Our fans know that a Season Ticket is the best way to get behind the Boys in Green and guarantees your place among our unrivalled Irish support. In addition to following Stephen Kenny's side, Season Ticket holders can gain access to the emerging talent of our Under-21s team in their UEFA U21 European Championship qualifiers this season. Fans can also enjoy a host of Green Benefits, including a range of special offers via FAI commercial partners, as a valued FAI Season Ticket Holder.”

FAI Season Ticket prices range from €120 in Category D to €290 for Category A with student tickets available at €120, child tickets at €60 and family tickets at €400. All prices quoted exclude Ticketmaster service charges. Supporters can pay in full, pay 50/50 or avail of an interest free payment option. Individual match tickets for the FAI Centenary match against Belgium on March 26th and the friendly against Lithuania, on March 29th, both at the Aviva Stadium, will go on sale from Monday at www.ticketmaster.ie.

Adult tickets for Belgium will range in price from €25 to €120 with family tickets priced at €120. Ticket prices for Lithuania will range from €20 to €90 with family tickets available at €100.
