Azerbaijan 1-5 Germany

Aysun Aliyeva gave Azerbaijan a shock lead when she scored direct from a corner kick in the 28th minute but the Germans levelled just three minutes later when Anna Gasper volleyed home brilliantly on the turn.

Germany took the lead in the 61st minute when Isabella Hartig turned the ball past keeper Aytaj Sharifova from a Jana Feldkamp corner.

Franziska Gieseke scored twice in four minutes for Germany to really stamp home their authority late on. The two finishes in the 75th and 78th minutes were very similar as the striker arrived late to slot the ball past the exposed keeper.

The goal of the game was the final one.  The impressive Viktoria Schwalm drilled home brilliantly via an upright from 20 yards to really show the German class and they will be one of the favourites for the finals in Slovakia this summer.
