Crawford names squad for U18 Home-based internationals

Jim Crawford today named his Republic of Ireland U18 Home-based squad for two international friendly matches against Wales in Tramore and Waterford later this month.
4th Feb 2016

The Irish squad was picked from the FAI Inter-Provincial Youth Tournament which took place in Waterford earlier this season and featured non-SSE Airtricity League players but players who have since joined that league remain eligible.

"These are two games which the players and staff are very much looking forward to," said Crawford.

"It is a great opportunity for the players to step up to international level and in the past players who have performed in these fixtures and made great progress included the likes of Alan Browne, who is now at Preston, and Piece Sweeney, who is with Reading now.

"We will look to have the squad as well prepared as possible. The facilities at Tramore FC and the RSC in Waterford are top class so the players will really enjoy representing their country in these fixtures."
