Entry Requirements:Course candidates will be coaches who have held the UEFA "A" Licence for a minimum of 2 years.Preference will be given to those coaches who require the qualification for FAI Club Licensing purposes and also coaches who have maintained their Continuous Professional Development (CPD) credits.Applicants must be actively coaching a team of senior players or elite youth. The club/ team must also be willing to facilitate the "Club Visit Programme" as the candidate works towards gaining his/ her Pro Licence.Applicants from outside the Republic of Ireland should be fully aware of the UEFA criteria in respect of cross-border education prior to applying.Duration of the Course:The course involves 250 course contact hours over a 2 year period.This will consist of pre-course reading, tasks, conference calls, lectures, practical demonstrations, club visits in micro-groups, presentations, an overseas club visit, a thesis and a practical assessment.The course will begin in January 2012 in Dublin and more details of course dates will be provided to successful applicants.Course Fee: €5,000€1,000 will be required with the application with the additional €4,000 payable in instalments over the duration of the course. The fee includes the cost of an overseas visit (flights, transfers and accommodation on a full board basis)) during the course.Cheques/ credit cards will not be cashed/ charged until such times that the applicant has been accepted on the course.Application Procedure:Please note that places on the UEFA "Pro" Licence are limited. Applicants must therefore ensure that the guidelines below are followed in order to ensure that they give themselves the best opportunity for admission to the course.The FAI Application Form should be submitted as part of a dossier which will also include the following:• Complete Application Form, with full payment details• CV's outlining all football experience• Supporting letters/ documents (if required)- Evidence of course certificates attainedAll applications must be submitted before Application deadline (12pm on Friday 6th January 2012)Applications received after this date will not be considered.
