Sign up for female-only strength & conditioning course

The growing demand for coaching courses for women is being met by the Football Association of Ireland with many unique courses being held, such as a female-only strength & conditioning course.
3rd Mar 2017

Led by Republic of Ireland Women's Under 16 Head Coach Sharon Boyle and FAI Football Development Officer Paul Keogh, the course will run in the Dublin suburb of Donabate on Tuesday, March 14.

With expert advice and guidance on offer, the participants will learn how to master the coaching of strength & conditioning for female players - which has become a key part of the modern game.

The course will mix between theory and practical sessions to deliver an insight into strength & conditioning so that every participant can leave with a basic knowledge of coaching their players in this area.

"We have recognised the importance of female-only coaching courses. The female-only environment has proven very successful with courses that we have run and I would encourage all women involved in the game to attend this very worthwhile course," said Keogh.

The popularity of women's football continues to surge with the FAI providing assistance at every level, from Aviva Soccer Sisters camps through to female-only coaching courses. This course is another addition that helps to grow the game.
