New Ross Celtic Claim Club Mark
New Ross Celtic was founded in 1967 and went on to became one of the most successful clubs in Wexford football. Based in Butlersland, New Ross, Co Wexford, the club was the first Wexford club to claim the Leinster Junior Cup in 1983.
In 1994, the club reached the FAI Junior Cup Final, succumbing to Clonmel Town. New Ross Celtic completed a four-in-a-row of Wexford Football League titles in 2010. Graduates of the club include Ryan Delaney of Morecambe, Thomas O'Connor of Burton Albion and Greg Bolger of Sligo Rovers.
Competing in the Wexford Football League, Wexford and District Schoolboys League and the Wexford Women's and Schoolgirls League, Celtic currently field four male teams under 18 and three female teams under 18. There is currently one adult male team. The club also has a thriving academy and there are approximately 170 playing members of New Ross Celtic.
The club boasts two fine full length grass pitches, and two 40m x 20m astro turf pitches, as well as a clubhouse. The facility is regularly utilised for interleague matches and local cup finals.

• Empower and support clubs
• Recognise and reward clubs for achieving high standards
• Increase a club’s capacity to operate effectively and grow football in communities throughout Ireland.
